    Wale — Best Night Ever (Feat. Rick Ross & Kevin Cossom) This latest album cut off Ambition debuted on Funkmaster Flex last night. It is a smooth track, with a soulful hook sung by Kevin Cossom. Can’t say I am crazy about it, but it is a pretty good song. Wale’s sophomore album, Ambition, is set to release on November 11th. Produced by Cash Hits. DOWNLOAD

    Rick Ross — 9 Piece (Feat. Lil’ Wayne)

    Yesterday Rozay released this new video for “9 Piece”, the single for his upcoming EP, God Forgives, I Don’t. Besides the Weezy feature, this video actually features cameos by Southern rap duo 8-Ball & MJG, who Ross refers to in the chorus:

                         “9 Piece, straight 8-balls, MJG, bitch I got 8-Balls”

    Not too sure who had a better video, but as far as singles are concerned, Rick Ross’s “9 Piece” is a much better single than Lil’ Wayne’s “John”, mostly because “John” is merely a modified version of a previous Rick Ross mixtape track, “I’m Not A Star”. I would have to say recycled beats are far worse than recycled bars, wouldn’t you agree? Oh yeah, Weezy actually did both:

    Wale - Fitted Cap (Feat. J. Cole, Rick Ross & Meek Mill) Been waiting on this J. Cole feature for the Maybach Music Self Made album ever since the track listing leaked. This is the perfect for song for Wale because he runs the sneaker, fitted, and streetwear game in Hip-Hop. Wale kills this shit, and Cole bodies his verse. The beat is tough as hell, and Drake dominates the track by not only dropping the best verse, but also murccing the bridge and hook. Rozay’s verse is garbage, and Weezy proves yet again that he doesn’t give a fuck about probation because he’s definitely “facing that flower.” *SUMMER ANTHEM* DOWNLOAD

    Wale - By Any Means (Feat. Meek, Pill & Rozay) New leak off of MMG’s upcoming Self Made album, which drops on May 23rd. For the most part, the leaks off the album have all been so sonically repetitive they could have all been produced by the same person. Even Wale’s lyrical performance is starting to wither due to this albums’ lack of content. The two things I expected to consistently look forward to, Wale’s verses and dope Lex Luger-like beats, are no longer captivating me as they used to. I’m hoping the next leak will blow these last couple out of the water, and finally provide my iTunes with a much needed dose of ignorance. DOWNLOAD

On this new Self Made album cut, Wale takes over and spits two dope verses. This song features Rick Ross and Jadakiss, but the spotlight was definitely on Wale, and he proved his lyrical swag yet again.     Pusha-T - Fear of God (Mixtape) Fear of God is straight crack music. “My God” immediately caught my attention because of the epic Hit-Boy production, and later on by Pusha’s cocky/ignorant flow. Besides Hit-Boy, Fear of God features production by Tha Bizness, The Neptunes, The Inkredibles, Nottz, and Kanye West. I am glad that Pusha-T kept the features to a minimum, and kept it centered around his own performances. The artist features include Rick Ross, Ab-Liva (Re-Up Gang Artist), 50 Cent, Pharrell, and Kanye West.   Besides “My God”, two insane tracks on this mixtape are “Touch It (Feat/Prod Kanye West)” and “Can I Live (Freestyle)”.     Travis Barker - Can A Drummer Get Some (Feat, Game, Lil’ Wayne, Rick Ross & Swizz Beatz) This is the first leak/single off Travis Barker’s upcoming album, Give The Drummer Some, which is dropping March 15th.  The beat is okay, but this track centered around the features more than the drumming or production aspects. This album is rumored to be stacked with features such as Kanye West, KiD CuDi, Pharrell, The Clipse, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Drake, Rihanna, the Cool Kids, Raekwon, and RZA to name a few.  It will be interesting to see how the rest of these collaborations turn out.  Hopefully this okay song, will be overshadowed by some much better collaborations.  DOWNLOAD
